As
we talk about travelling in Delhi, the first thought came in our mind is Delhi
Metro. Delhi Metro is the
precious gift as Delhi metro. It makes our life easy and save lot of time.
People in Delhi are very much dependent on the Delhi Metro as they use it in
their day to day life. Delhi Metro has become a part of almost every individual
in Delhi NCR. Delhi Metro is recognized by the world for its hi-tech technology
and efficient Commute system.
Currently Delhi Metro has 6
Lines, 142 stations and 6 interchange stations. Interchange stations means from
where the commuter can change trains from one route to other (One line to other
line) but recently new plan have been made to extend the Delhi Metro to
Phase-III and for the first time Delhi Metro will construct ring line and Delhi
Metro will cover the entire City. In Phase-III, the objective of Delhi Metro is
to interconnect existing lines by ring lines to improve the connectivity. This
will reduce the distance between stations by providing extensive cross
connectivity and reduce travel timing. In Phase-III, there will be 28
underground stations covering 41Km and more than 20 tunnels.

- Jahangirpuri-Badli Corridor: Badli. Sarup Nagar, Bawana Road, Holambi Kalan, Nathupura(North Delhi bordering Haryana)
- Mukundpur-Shiv Vihar Corridor: Mukundpur. Sant Nagar Burari (North Delhi), Shiv Vihar, Johri Ambedkar Nagar, Indira Enclave, Indira Vihar (Northeast Delhi)
- Dwarka-NAjafgarh Corridor: Sai Baba Mandir, Najafgarh Depot, Delhi Jal Board pumping station, Municipal commissioner’s office, Delhi Gate, Primary Rural Health Training Centre (South west Delhi)
- Mundka-Bahadurgarh Corridor: Mundka, Ghevra, Tikri Kalan, West Delhi, Bahadurgarh(Haryana)
